Developing a Healthy Mindset to Weight Loss
Eliminate the concept of "As long as"
Being the person you want to be is not a license to be happy. Unless you are happy where you are then you will not be happy once you have found something you thought you needed in order to be happy.
What I am saying is that happiness does not come from external circumstances but from within.
Here is a list of things people think you enjoy:
"If only I ...
"Win the lottery."
"I got married."
."
"I was living in a better house."
"."
"You own the latest smartphone."
"I've lost a lot of weight."
Do you know what drives this action?
Greed.
Some people always have what they
want.
This leads to some people becoming angry with those who think they have everything together.
The use of social media has made the sin of greed flourish as more and more young people are showing the best in their online lives.
Some see all these things on Facebook and others have found a perfect life.
One can understand a person who feels that his life is not going the way he would like it to go but going to those who have what they want will not improve your situation in life. In contrast, jealousy and greed are negative attitudes that rob you of the very thing you want and are involved in achieving your ideal weight goal.
My point is this. Be the best you can be within your abilities and not focus on others.
"Your attitude is yours and yours alone; no one can make you feel bad if you don't want it." - Joyce Meyer
Weight loss is a multi-billion dollar industry and it is safe to say that there are many people who are willing to pay a lot of money for products and services that will help them lose weight. Being content with what you have will greatly help you to become the person you want to be.
That is not meant to be a contradiction or support, but rather to encourage you to be the kind of person others enjoy.
Your happiness is something that is not found in your circumstances. You may feel good about yourself for a while but it doesn't last long. It is therefore important to deal with each situation that arises with the right attitude.
